What a fantastic day we all had at the Touch Football Gala Day in Port Macquarie yesterday.
Every single student from St. Joey’s was outstanding. They all got in and had a go, especially those who were reluctant to be ‘sporty’ or think they are not!! The sportsmanship was wonderful, and with some little reminders, we were humble when we scored tries or won games. We actually have some very good touch players… both boys and girls, that I can’t wait to see develop over the next few years.
Big thank you to Mrs Hyland, Mrs O’Neil and Mrs Hurrell who could quite easily be the next Wayne Bennett, Trent Robinson or Ricky Stuart of coaching. Also, a big thank you especially to Kelly, who helped to keep a careful eye on all our students. Also, a big thank you to the wonderful bunch of parents who supported us throughout the day and helped with the teams.
We definitely need more days like this!!!
